The 73-year-old rock legend David Crosby slammed into a jogger while driving through California, the survivor suffered from multiple fractures and lacerations. The 46-year-old jogger Jose Jimenez was by a black Tesla that was being driven by Crosby according to the CNN News.
Crosby was travelling in his 2015 model black Tesla car driving at the speed of 55 miles an hour, when Jimenez was knocked down by his car suffering from multiple fractures, abrasions and lacerations. He had to be airlifted to a hospital in Santa Barbara, the injuries sustained were not life threating as reported by TMZ.
Crosby told police he was blinded by the sun's when the accident happened and as soon as the collision occurred he stopped immediately to offer aid. In the accident no injuries had been sustained by Crosby.
The musician, had battled drug problems during his rock-star days. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor for the accident according to the medical report. Crosby's representative said he is upset about accidentally hitting the jogger, but he is relieved the injuries sustained were not life-threatening and wishes the man a speedy recovery.
Crosby, was driving near his home in Santa Ynez at the time of the collision. An inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Crosby is a long-time resident of the Santa Ynez Valley.
Crosby a member of famous acts like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, has undergone heart surgery last year to fix a blocked coronary artery, forcing him to postpone sold-out California shows.
The police are still investigating the accident.
