Zayn Malik, one of the One Direction boy band members, was seen cozying up with a tattooed blonde Lauren Richardson in Phuket, Thailand.
Photos of the Malik and Richardson went out in public which started the crisis for the band. Two photos went out showing the two together in different places. One picture shows Malik in an embrace where his hand is holding Richardson's midriff. Another photo shows him leaving with the girl from the Seduction Night Club which went viral on social media.
Malik was on a holiday in Thailand with co-band member Louis Tomlinson and was pictured holding hands with Richardson the previous week.
The 22-year-old boy band member was given a leave of absence from the band's "On The Road" tour to fly back to the United Kingdom due to stress. He also needed to talk to his fiancée Perrie Edwards whom he has been engaged to for just a year, and discuss the crisis that went viral online in a span of days.
After which, Malik announced that he has decided to leave the band for good on Wednesday. The fans were heartbroken, Mail Online reported.
The father of the alleged girl Richardson admits that Malik's leaving the band is the worst case scenario. "I got that good news when I got home from work. It's the worst scenario," said Mr. Richardson.
Furthermore, when asked about how his daughter felt about Malik's quitting One Direction, Mr. Richardson explained that he has got nothing to say about the situation and all that their family wanted was to be left alone and have their peace.
Mr. Richardson disclosed that his daughter had gone to hiding and would not tell her exact location after the photos of her together with Malik surfaced, according to UK News.
Malik tweeted about the unpleasant condition and sent his public apology. He also professed his love to Edwards.
He wrote in his tweet as "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f**ks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x."
The couple spent five hours talking inside their house. Edwards was seen leaving the premises with her bags packed and was not wearing her engagement ring.
