It was a big day yesterday for actor Vin Diesel when he immortalized his stardom in show business. The "Furious 7" star left an impression of his hand and feet at the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre by dipping them in soft cement.
Diesel was carrying on the tradition followed by other Hollywood legends like Clark Gable and Clint Eastwood. He was joined by his long time girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, and their three children Hania, Vincent and the newly born Paulina, USA Today Life reported.
Hundreds of fans flocked the and watched from the barricades as the 47-year-old actor got overwhelmed on receiving such an honour. The actor almost choked down when he declared that it is "a miracle to come from where I come from and to be standing here in front of you, to be honored in this way."
"It makes me believe Paul is here with us today," said the star to remember his good friend and co-star of "Fast and Furious" franchise of movies. Paul Walker died in a tragic car crash in November 2013 when the movie "Furious 7" was still in production.
The movie's progress was halted and producers even thought of abandoning the movie altogether as it was quite difficult to continue filming it without Walker. Later, the movie was completed with the help of some tech tricks and the valuable contribution of late actor's brothers.
The cast of "Furious 7," including Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster, was also present at the event. This is the fourth time Diesel is playing one of the lead role in the movie of Fast and Furious" franchise. The movie is releasing this Friday, CBS Los Angeles reported.
