According to Jason Statham, his stunts in "Furious 7" are not close enough to what he can do.

"I always want to do 20 times more than what they're allowing me to do," Statham told Vulture about the stunts he was allowed to do in "Furious 7."

"We don't get a say in what stunts we can do and cannot do," Statham revealed. "They give us a firm hand in saying what we're not allowed to do, and it's based on insurance levels and perception of the danger."

Among the co-stars of Statham and the late Paul Walker in "Furious 7" are Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Sung Kang, Iggy Azalea, Gal Gadot and Ronda Rousey.

According to Statham, he has not had any close calls when it comes to stunts on "Furious 7" although he has had on "Expendables 3," in which he starred with Sylvester Stallone, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture, among others.

Statham said the brakes failed while he was driving a truck and he ended up at the bottom of the Black Sea in one of the "Expendables 3" scene. He described the experiences as "a close shave with death."

Also, Statham is set to star in "Mechanic: Resurrection" opposite Jessica Alba, UPI reported.

Directed by Dennis Gansel, "Mechanic: Resurrection" also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Natalie Burn, Tomer Oz, Geoffrey Giuliano and Sam Stevens, among others.
