There is a possibility that Jurassic Park's Jeff Goldblum will have a cameo in the upcoming fil "Jurassic World."
Jurassic Park posted on Twitter earlier a photo of eggs with QR codes on them. It says in the photo, "The hunt is on. Happy Easter from Isla Nublar." The said post had more than 500 re-tweets and more than 770 favorites.
The QR codes links the information to Dr. Ian Malcom, who was played by Goldblum, as per Cinema Blend.
Malcolm is a mathematician who specializes in a branch of mathematics known as "Chaos Theory." He was one of the consultants invited to the Jurassic Park along with Paleontologist Alan Grant, Paleobotanist Ellie Sattler, and Donald Genaro. He was there in the incidents that took place in Isla Nublar in "Jurassic Park" and Isla Sorna in "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." In the third film, "Jurassic Park III," Dr. Malcolm is mentioned by Grant and Eric Kirby in their conversation. Kirby said that he did not like the book written by Malcom, saying that the mathematician is "preachy" and "high on himself."
Using a barcode scanner, a link will be created and will reveal an image of a book called "God Creates Dinosaurs" when opened. The book was authored by Dr. Malcolm and the title is linked to his famous lines in "Jurassic Park." "God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs," he said. It was then responded by Sattler saying, "Dinosaurs eat man. Woman inherit the earth." However, there is no further clue if Malcolm is going to have a cameo in the upcoming film.
Meanwhile, it is also possible that the photo is a mere Easter egg for the fans to recognize the history of the franchise, as per Screenrant. In addition, the image from the QR code will also boost fans interest and appreciation to Spielberg's original trilogy.
"Jurassic World" serves as the fourth installment in the "Jurassic Park" franchise. It stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, and BD Wong.
The film is set to be helmed by Colin Trevorrow, together with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley as producers. Derek Connoly, Amanda Silver, and Rick Jaffa are set to pen the screenplay.
"Jurassic World" is slated to premiere on Jun. 12.
