Penny is stuck between two choices - whether she should continue her pharmaceutical sales job or audition for a movie. "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8, episode 21 entitled "The Communication Deterioration" airs Thursday, April 16, 2015 on CBS.

Earlier, Penny decided that she was ready to give up her dream of making it big in the Hollywood after she got a lucrative job in a pharmaceutical company. However, on "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8, episode 21 she might get another chance to go back and dream about becoming an actress.
The official YouTube channel of "The Big Bang Theory" shared the synopsis for "The Communication Deterioration."
"When Raj is asked to create a message in case a NASA mission discovers alien life, the guys fight over what he should do. Also, Penny is torn between auditioning for a movie or keeping her successful pharmaceutical sales job, on The Big Bang Theory."
A 20-second promo video for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8, episode 21 was also released by CBS. It features Penny and Sheldon. This Sheldon was at the receiving end of his classic "Knock knock, Penny" act.
He tells her that it all started off as a joke, but she might realise that there is something enjoyable about the whole act. Penny confesses that she wants to do that again.
Meanwhile, the last episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8, episode 20 entitled "Fortification Implementation" was called "terribly rushed" by The AV Club. The entire fight between Penny and Leonard was considered as illogical.
