While numerous NASA scientists have suggested that men could meet evidences of "alien-life" 20 years ahead, a recent study conducted by a group of scientists searching for alien life evidences in 100, 000 galaxies discovered no single proof, UPI reported.
Scientists have estimated that there are about one billion observable galaxies in the universe. Therefore, the studied 100, 000 galaxies are only a tiny part of the entire population, in fact, it is only 0.01%. The search was aimed to find super-advanced evidences of alien civilizations which have thrived in the entire galaxy.
Jason T. Wright, an assistant professor at Penn State University's center for Exoplanets and Habitable Worlds, said "The idea behind our research is that, if an entire galaxy had been colonized by an advanced spacefaring civilization, the energy produced by that civilization's technology would be detectable in mid-infrared wavelengths - exactly the radiation that the WISE satellite was designed to detect for other astronomical purposes."
While conducting the research, the team was able to discover a few mysterious phenomena in the Milky Way galaxy.
"Whether a super-advanced spacefaring civilization makes use of the energy from the stars of the galaxy to power communication, space flight, and computer, basic thermodynamic mechanism tells us that this particular energy should be brought away in the form of heat under the mid-infrared wavelengths," Wright added.
Freeman Dyson, British mathematician and theoretical physicist, first suggested in the 60s that there exists an advanced form of extra-terrestrial civilization.
The team's scientific study about the GHAT (Glimpsing Heat from Alien Technologies) appeared in the Astrophysical Journal on April 15.
