From potions and pills to ointments, the ways have been many that thinning haired individuals have resorted to regaining their luscious locks, but one company's laser helmet promises results in a few months.
A hands-free hair rejuvenation system that operates by introducing lasers into hair follicles, the Apira Science helmet at first glance may seem like a prop from a science fiction film. Known as the iGrow the apparatus which resembles a helmet has been FDA approved and uses LED lights and lasers to awaken or stimulate dormant hair follices.
This technology that has been around for about 15 years, claims dermatology advisor Adnan Nasir, M.D who spoke to Men's Health. Dr. Nasir speaking about the iGrow helmet told Men's Health that when clinical trials were conducted in 2013, men who used the helmet for 25 minutes for a few days a week saw hair growh increase by 35 percent.

While devices that use light therapy could be purchased over the counter, Apira Science claims on its website that iGrow could be used at home, whithout a physicians supervision and is more effective.
The company claimed on its website that it was a specific wavelength of light when exposed to for a period of time that could effect changes in hair follicles.
The company said on its website, the energy capable of stimulating hair growth was visible in the red light spectrum.
