A face-off between Ultron and his creator can be seen in the new clip Marvel has released. Film helmer Joss When also clarified why "Avengers: Age of Ultron" does not show a lot of Easter eggs.
The new clip started off with Ultron asking not to compare him with Iron Man. Then, is creator in his red and gold armor suit comes and their conversation begins.
Iron man is together with Thor and Captain America while behind Ultron are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, with Hawkeye and Black Widow trying to sneak up on them. Ultron unleashed his power on Iron Man and the showdown begins. Further scenes featured more battles between the Avengers and Ultron's team.
Among the trailers, TV spots, and featurettes Marvel has released so far, the new clip is one of the best, as per Cinema Blend.
Ultron shocked the Avengers and the fans with his powers along with his heightened metallic body. Such powers include his ability to pull metals with magnetism, control his suit, fire energy beams from his fingers, and fling steel objects.
Aside from showing what Ultron can do, another point that was revealed was Ultron's use of vibranium. Ultron will use the mineral as part of his evil plans. It is previously known that vibranium is the enduring metal that is used to craft Captain America's shield and this is also used on Ultron's metal body to make him nearly indestructible.
Vibranium connects the Avengers plot to another superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The mineral is abundant in the African island of Wakanda, the home of another superhero T'challa who is also known as Black Panther.
Meanwhile, some fans are curious because "Avengers: Age of Ultron" does not give away Easter eggs, as these have almost become an element for hit blockbusters.
Film helmer Joss Whedon confirmed that Easter eggs are not many in the film, as per Collider. For the director, he needs to make the film "better," which suggests focus on the movie quality over the Easter eggs.
Film making is challenging, especially "Age of Ultron," as per the director. Given the challenge, Whedon continues to write at home after leaving the set so as to produce a quality film.
Directed by Whedon, the film will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and James Spader.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is slated to premiere on May 1.
