Thanos is building up to be a big threat to the Marvel superheroes in "Avengers: Infinity Wars Parts I and II." Along with the Infinity Stones and Gaunlet, the supervillain is noted to have an alliance to fight the superheroes.

Film helmer Joss Whedon talks about Thanos in his interview with Vulture on Twitter. He said that Thanos was not intended to be the villain in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The director also said that the supervillain is the master of the puppets who will face the heroes at the right time.

Whedon also added that there will be other villains aside from the Titanian Eternal in Marvel's "Infinity War" saga. This is because Marvel give a couple of big films, instead of cutting a story into films that "should not" be separated.

The story will need more villains as Thanos gets the power of the Infinity Stones and there are various possibilities to get them in the film, as per Cinema Blend.

Thanos can use the power of the Infinity items to resurrect previous villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It can be his former alliance Ronan or one of the Avenger's most hatred villains.

Since the supervillain upholds power, he can also have some subordinates taken from the comics such as Black Dwarf, Blood Brothers, and Ebony Maw. Other villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that can be included as villains in Infinity War are Abomination, Red Skull, The Collector, Kang the Conqueror, and Death.

"Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II" involves the culmination of Marvel's Phase Two and aims to introduce its next phase.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" directors Joe and Anthony Russo are set to helm the film, with Marvel head Kevin Feige as their co-producer. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFreely are on board to pen the script.

"Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" is set to premiere on May 4, 2018 while "Avengers: Infinity War Part II" is slated to premiere on May 3, 2019.
