Novel-based movie "Ever Since We Love" (Wan Wu Sheng Zhang), which is dubbed as China's "Most Sexual Film," is set to fire up the cinemas on Friday.
The film was directed by Chinese film director and screenwriter Li Yu and written by well-known Chinese novelist Zhang Haipeng, who is best known by his pen name "Feng Tang."
"Ever Since We Love" is a story about medical student Qiu Shui, played by former Super Junior member and actor Han Geng, who is struggling emotionally for having intimate relationships with his childhood friend, schoolmate, and a "sexy" lady older than him.
According to Feng, the three women represent the past, present and future a young man may face while growing up as most teen boys learn about the world from an older beauty, like a goddess, in their lives.
Qiu's youthful days represents the experiences of Chinese men born in the 1980s where they face various sexual frustration as society opened up to new lifestyles, China Daily reported.
"The novel is written for the mothers who might have never known what their sons had to go through," Feng added.
The movie is based on Feng's 2013 best-selling novel "Everything Grows."
Li, on the other hand, is said to have brought out the best acting skills of Han as she reversed his superstar prestige into a hopeless medical student.
Movie producer Fang Li and Feng applauded Han's stunning performance.
Netizens have also been talking about the country's "most sexual movie" in Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo.
Douban.com, a movie critic in China, remarked the film as a different kind of puberty-themed production as it "reflects the real psychology of many young men during their campus lives."
Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing, Qi Xi, Yang Di, Zhang Boyu, Zhao Yiwei are also among the cast members of the much anticipated Chinese film.
