Google has released its latest feature, which will search for a user's lost tablet or phone easily through its "Find my Phone" service.
In order to use this feature, USA Today states that one just needs to log on to the nearest computer and get the precise locational distance of the lost phone in a matter of seconds. Users can simply ask Google to find their Android phone from the comfort of either the desktop or laptop. This app is very easy to install and is available on Google Play.
The users need to install the latest version of this Google app on their Android phone. When the phone is lost, the user can use their already registered account from another deviceand open Google.com, states Trend Blog. Once logged in, they would be able to see a map and it will have the location of the phone. There is also an option of making the phone ring so that it can be easily located.
For Chrome users, this facility is even more simple as users can give a voice command for the same, due to Chrome's ability to accept voice searches.
In case one does not want to install a special app for finding the phone, then the Android Device Manager can also be used for the same service. It is used to locate a lost Android device and the moment someone tries to change the screen PIN, the phone erases all the data.
This is very useful when the Android device contains personal pictures and information which can be misused. With this, Google continues to impart its full support to Android Device manager as well as this new app.
