Microsoft has not confirmed the official Surface Pro 4 release date yet, but speculations claim that the laptop-tablet hybrid will be unveiled at the BUILD Developer Conference on Apr. 29.
According to TechRadar, Microsoft will showcase the follow up to Surface Pro 3 at the said conference and the device will most likely hit mass production in June and will be available for purchase alongside the roll out of the official version of Windows 10 in the second half of the year.
This is a huge possibility taking the hints subtly dropped by the Redmond-based giant. One evident clue is the all-year round discount on the device. Despite being hailed as the "best tablet" in the Mobile World Congress, the tablet still received discounts. Currently, Best Buy offers up to $200 trade-in value to your tablet so you can purchase the Surface Pro 3 at a cheaper price. In the past, the company offered the tablet with discounts. There is a high chance that the Surface Pro 4 will have the same target market as before due to the success the line garnered this year.
Microsoft may step up its game and will release two variants of the device - one with 12-inch screen panel and another one with 14-inch display. Both versions will sport a 2160 x 1440 screen resolution. Aside from more options in screen display, the device will also pack Intel Core M Broadwell chip paired with Windows 10 OS as well as 16 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 1 TB.
However, there is still no official confirmation from Microsoft yet.
