Coffeehouse chain, Starbucks, announced that it will be offering a S'mores layered Frappuccino starting Apr. 28.
A Starbucks spokesperson told Huffington Post that the new product will remind its customers of the "nostalgic summer experience of roasting." S'mores is a traditional campfire treat popular all throughout the United States. The recipe usually consists of a roasted marshmallow with layer of chocolate sandwiched in between two pieces of graham crackers.
The new Frappuccino flavor will be available in selected Starbucks branches in the US. The company added that it will be available until Sept. 7 or until supplies last. Depending on customer demand, Starbucks said that it might consider putting it as a staple on its menu, according to Huffington Post.
The S'mores layers Frappuccino will contain marshmallow-infused whipped cream with milk chocolate sauce. It will also contain traditional S'mores ingredient including graham cracker crumble on top of a blend of coffee, milk and ice.
Starbucks said in a statement that a bottled-coffee version of the S'mores flavored Frappuccino will be released in grocery stores nationwide, according to USA Today.
Aside from the S'mores flavored Frappuccino, Starbucks is also planning to release the new Ben & Jerry's beer sometime in Fall.
In addition to the new S'mores Frappuccino, Starbucks will also return one of its best-selling coffee flavor, the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino. It is a blend of Frappuccino roast coffee, caramel syrup, milk and ice. The beverage is topped with a layer of dark caramel sauce, caramel drizzle, crunchy caramel sugar and whipped cream.
