In line with building the momentum of the upcoming IMAX trailer screening of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," film helmer Zack Snyder has released two new photos. The film was also reported to have leaked via a cellphone recording.
Snyder released two brand new poster photos on his Twitter account. The two photos feature the solo image of Superman and Batman.
The first photo shows Henry Cavill's Superman with the blend of hues red and blue. His eyes are covered with the ripped gray Batman logo. The photo got more than 6,900 retweets and more than 6,800 favorites.
On the other hand, the second photo features Ben Affleck's Batman with gray and black color. Like Superman, Batman's eyes are covered with the ripped red colored Superman logo. It got more than 8000 retweets and more than 7,000 favorites, which are greater than the first image.
Both photos have one aim, and that is to lead the fans to the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" special IMAX event tomorrow.
The photo designs reflect part of the upcoming film, as per Cinema Blend. One specific example is the "False God" spray paint tag on Superman and another is the distinction between Batman's cape and his overall costume, which has given the Dark Knight a more grayish look.
The posters released by Snyder are also rumored to be given as freebies on the day of the event.
Meanwhile, the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer leaked thru a cellphone camera recording, as per Deadline. The leakage of the said video spoiled the IMAX screening event.
The incident is not new since a similar case also happened to Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" last October 2014. The trailer was to launch along with an episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," but the trailer leaked one week in advance. As a result, Marvel quickly released the trailer and released an entirely dissimilar screening of the film.
Snyder said that fans who will be in the IMAX event will be the ones to see the special IMAX "Batman v Superman" trailer. Moreover, the event offers more footage than the leaked video and a "little swag" to the fans, as per the director's hashtag.
The film stars Cavill, Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere on March 25, 2016.
