The unimportant job of killing a spider soon turned into a shock when a man hit one with a broom only to find hundreds of other sprawling across on the floor.
The bizarre incident happened in Hallett Cove, South Australia when a man named Danny Ford was sent on a mission to kill a free spirited spider roaming on the floor of their house. When the YouTube user hit the spider with the broom, not only it emerged unhurt, it graphically produced an explosion of hundred of baby creepy crawlies.
"Look at all the little babies coming out of it," Ford is heard saying frantically in the video before hitting the amazing spider several times, this time making sure to kill it and its offsprings and sweeping them together while many baby spiders still managed to escape.
It turned out that the spider featured in the nerve tickling video is the wolf spider which is found in abundance in Australia and in most parts of the world. Although they are huge and look scary, they are not as deadly as they appear. Their bite can be very painful with swelling and itching, according to About.
The poor spider battered to death mercilessly by Ford appears to be a female spider who was carrying her eggs wrapped in a silk mat under her belly. New York Daily News reported that the female spider usually carry their egg till the time they are ready to hatch and can manage to survive out in the world.
Ford decided to film the spider's assassination so as to prove to his suspicious wife that he has dealt appropriately with the invader. The video was uploaded on YouTube on April 12 and has now been viewed 6.3 million times.
