"Family Guy" season 14 is about to add a Bollywood star in its voice cast. "Slumdog Millionaire" star Anil Kapoor, 58, is set to join Seth MacFarlane, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein and Seth Green in the Emmy-winning comedy series.
This is not Kapoor's first time to star in a Hollywood project. Two years after playing Prem Kumar in the 2008 film "Slumdog Millionaire," he played President Omar Hassan in the TV series "24."
In 2011, Kapoor played Brij Nath in Brad Bird's film "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," which starred Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway and Vladimir Mashkov among others.
Filmmaker Farah Khan took to Twitter to congratulate Kapoor.
"Papaji they couldn't hav got a better "family guy" to be on Family Guy!! @AnilKapoor congraaaaaatsssss!!" Khan tweeted.
Kapoor will in Los Angeles before the end of April to start dubbing for his "Family Guy" season 14 role, according to Indian Express. Details on his role are yet to be disclosed.
Created by MacFarlane, "Family Guy" also features the voices of Mike Henry, Danny Smith, John Viener, Patrick Warburton, Alec Sulkin, Ralph Garman, Adam West, Chris Cox, Rachael MacFarlane, Mark Hentemann, Jennifer Tilly, and Gary Cole among others.
"Star Wars" star Carrie Fisher and "X-Men" star Patrick Stewart also lent their voices in the past seasons.
"Family Guy" season 13 episode 16 titled "Roasted Guy" will air on April 26 while episode 17 titled "Fighting Irish" will air on May 3.
Meanwhile, "Family Guy" is returning to BBC Two for the first time in almost 10 years, BBC reported.
