It is about a month and a few days left before the much awaited "Jurassic World" hits the big screen. To further ignite the fans' excitement, film maker Steven Spielberg himself talks about the upcoming blockbuster.
"To see "Jurassic World" come to life is almost like seeing "Jurassic Park" come true," Spielberg said in Entertainment Tonight.
Previous trailers of the upcoming film actualize the vision of "Jurassic Park"'s John Hammond, which is to build a theme park roamed by genetically-engineered dinosaurs. Even the original T-rex from the 1993 "Jurassic Park" returns to the film.
Set 22 years after the incidents in Isla Nublar, "Jurassic World" is now fully operational with living dinosaurs and this element is what stunned Spielberg the most.
In addition, Colin Treverrow's take on the sequel's angle is unique in such a way that the film presents a set of trials the team must face. It also features how the public can get used to seeing the same dinosaurs, prompting the company to create a new attraction to spike its commerce.
"Jurassic World" is a completely "different beast," as per Cinema Blend. It is Trevorrow's second feature film, following 2012's romantic comedy "Safety Not Guarantted," which starred Aubrey Plaza.
The film showcases a broad variety of dinosaurs contributing to the success of the park in Isla Nublar, along with the list of impressive cast, and the story itself. Such interplay among the three elements is effectively executed in an "enthralling, awe-inspiring, and suspenseful manner."
"Jurassic World" stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, BD Wong, Judy Greer, Vincent D'Onofrio, Omar Sy, Brian Tee, and Irrfan Khan.
Trevorrow is set to helm the film, along with Patrcik Crowley, Jon Jashni, Frank Marshall, Christopher Raimo, Thomas Tull, and Spielberg as his co-producers. Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Derej Connolly are on board to pen the script.
"Jurassic World" is slated to premiere in theaters on Jun. 12.
