Rockstar released a "Grand Theft Auto 5" patch - 350.1 that fixes a lot of annoying bugs and other issues but unfortunately it stops the capability to use own mods.
The 350.1 patch is made to focus on fixing crashes, bugs or stability issues which were plaguing the game, according to PC Gamer. The patch also should enable the player to return to the Steam game using alt-tab. It also resolves the issue of game freeze whenever a store is being robbed while the gamer is busy buying food. It also fixes the clipping issues when a player takes in-game shots.
According to Game Spot, the patch changes the setting of Script Hook V to disable it. This is very important to players because when there is not Script Hook V, it means that they cannot make their own mod.
An explanation from GTAforums.com said that it is still possible to enable back the Script Hook V support through downgrading the current game to the older version of the game. The player can just download the needed files or using the old backups if they still possess them and copy it back in its proper place.
It may not be a perfect fix but it will do and downgrading will definitely get the mods to work again but the catch is that gamers can only play on the offline mode.
It may make situations worse since Alexander Blade, the creator of Script Hook said that a newer version of the software that enables mods to work but Blade also warns against using it online. Blade warned that there is a restriction because it is a last recourse attempt for the players to be banned totally.
