"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" starring Andrew Garfield will no longer push through. Just recently, multiple sources noted that it could be because of the actor's temperament and snubbing of a Sony executive.
According to reports, Garfield insulted Sony chief Kaz Hirai during a company event in 2014.
Although "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" wasn't well-received, Hirai still exerted an effort to introduce Garfield to the event participants present at the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro in 2014.
However, after he was called, Garfield reportedly snubbed Hirai's invitation to come down and meet up with the 750 event attendees, according to Master Herald.
Other reports justified the actor's action by saying that he was feeling under the weather at that time.
Meanwhile, despite the recent cancellation of "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" and the axing of Garfield from the franchise, it was revealed that Sony could team up with Marvel to create a "Spider-Man" reboot.
Film producer Kevin Paige was quick to confirm reports, saying that if a "Spider-Man" reboot were to be made, it will focus more on the real personality of the superhero, IBTimes reported.
During the past several installments of both "Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man," the character was always portrayed as a serious man wanting to free the world from bad entities.
Now, it the film will push through, it will focus more on "Spider-Man's" comical personality and his ability to poke fun on his opponents despite being in serious situations.
The bad news is the "Spider-Man" reboot will most likely happen in the next couple of years.
