A recent spoiler report revealed one to three characters will die in the "Bates Motel" Season 3 finale. Caleb, Dylan and Emma could die. The first two for their crime involvement; the latter, for health reasons. Entertainment Weekly did not elaborate.

"Bates Motel" show boss Carlton Cuse has earlier said the show will not continue to run indefinitely. This is a prequel story that has to stop at some point. It will run for five seasons. This makes the Season 3 finale a pivotal point, as it goes halfway past the timetable.

"I think 'Bates' is not its best version if it's an open ended series, and I think the audience is sort of waiting for the conclusion and we're heading there. We'll have that mapped out," Cuse told Examiner.

"We all go a little mad sometimes," Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) tells Norman in a recently aired episode of "Bates Motel" Season 3. As the characters head to the finale, their problems escalate; they are forced to make tougher decisions.

"Norma hits a breaking point with Norman's issues; Emma has a surprising reaction to seemingly positive news; Romero seals his fate in the town by finally choosing sides; and Caleb makes a decision that will uproot his new life," reads the A&E episode synopsis of the "Bates Motel" Season 3 finale.

In the penultimate episode, Norman spends the whole day with Bradley Martin (Nicola Peltz) and concludes the night with a hallucination featuring Norma. Caleb (Kenny Johnson) and Dylan (Max Thierot) come up with $50,000 for Emma's (Olivia Cooke) lung transplant. Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) gets ready to use some compelling evidence in a big White Plain Bay case.

"Bates Motel" Season 3 finale airs this Monday, May 11, on A&E.
