The second season of "Empire" will commence in just a few months, but it has already been confirmed that Naomi Campbell and Raven Symone will return to the series to reprise their respective roles.
"Empire" series creator Lee Daniels confirmed Campbell's return to the series as Camilla Marks, during last week's Met Gala 2015, according to Christian Today.
Multiple sources are also speculating Symone's return to "Empire" to play her character Olivia, Jamal's former lover.
Meanwhile, Jussie Smollett, the actor who plays the role of Jamal, recently revealed what would be in store for his character next season.
According to him, Jamal will grow in season 2 especially now that he has been named as the CEO of Empire Records, IBTimes reported.
The actor also recounted the very first episode of "Empire," where his character said that there are certain things he did not want to become.
"And he said in the very first episode, you will see some of the things that he did not want to become, maybe he becomes, and some of the things he did want to become, he realizes those are... he realizes his own destiny and you see that throughout the season," Smollett said.
In other news, there are also some speculations that talk show host Oprah Winfrey will join the cast of "Empire." However, as of late, nothing has been confirmed yet by the series creators and Fox network.
Find out what will happen to Empire Records now that Jamal is in charge in the upcoming season of "Empire."
