The Google I/O conference 2015, which is set for May 28 and 29, will be held in San Francisco at the Moscone West Convention Center.
While Google has not yet announced Android M, the Android M description noticed by many fans indicates that the company will disclose the latest OS version at Google I/O 2015.
According to the Android Police, the official schedule originally stated that Android M would be disclosed during the Android for Work session. However, Google has pulled that session from the schedule.
According to the rumor mill, the new features will arrive with Android 6.0 or Android M OS. Here are some features to expect.
Nearby
The Nearby feature will enable Android devices to communicate with places, people and devices that are nearby. It will be disclosed through the Proximity-based communication session.
Improved App Permissions
The software giant Google will offer more power to the user to control what kind of information, such as locations, contacts or photos, can be accessed by the apps. Users will be able to install an Android app without allowing any permission to access the information. Currently, users are required to access all permissions prior to installing any Android app.
Voice Access
The Voice Access feature will allow developers to include voice action in their apps to offer hands-free experience to the user.
Material Design
Google will host many sessions on Material Design. One session is aptly titled Bringing material design to life on Android.
Other engaging sessions in the Google I/O conference 2015 are centred around Android Wear and Android TV, The Indian Express reported.
