Melissa Rivers, the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, recently slammed Kathy Griffin for destroying her mother's legacy on "Fashion Police."
In a recent interview, Rivers slammed Griffin by saying that the latter was not the right person to replace her mom on the E! show.
Rivers was referring to Griffin's statement when she announced her departure from the show. At that time, she said that she no longer wants to be part of a show that uses her comedic skills to contribute to a culture of false perfectionism.
The enraged daughter said that she understood Griffin did not mean to cause any harm on her mother directly, but the fact that she called "Fashion Police" old-fashioned is what hurt her the most, Fox 411 reported.
"It was like, I understand what you were doing, you are trying to save yourself, but do not crap all over my mother to do it," she said.
Despite the current issues surrounding "Fashion Police," Rivers, who serves as the show's executive producer confirmed that the show will be back in just a few months.
Rivers then went on to compare the show to a basic family unit, wherein if the matriarch passes away, the sisters will most likely start going against one another, according to the New York Post.
Meanwhile, during her interview, Rivers also took a swipe against talk show host Giuliana Rancic.
"I felt like all of these people were so out of control, including the person who made the allegation about racism. They took the last thing I had and they smashed it," she said.
