"Pretty Woman" star Julia Roberts was smitten by Amal Clooney, wife of her close friend and "Ocean's Eleven" co-star George Clooney.
"Oh yes, George doesn't need my approval, but I'm quite enamoured with her," said the 47-year-old Oscar award winning actress, when quizzed by Extra whether she gave her friend the seal of approval over his choice in life partner or not.
The actress also discussed her recent meeting with the Clooneys where she got the opportunity to know the gorgeous law professional for the first time. It was reported earlier that the celebs were spotted dining together at Claudette in New York City on Monday evening, where they enjoyed a three-hour meal and reportedly talked at lengths with each other.
Although the two ladies had met briefly on the sets of the upcoming movie, this is the first time that they have spent some quality time with each other.
While Mrs. Clooney is in the city as she has taken up residency at Columbia University to teach law, Roberts and George are also in New York to shoot their upcoming flick, Jodie Foster's "Money Monster." The movie is about Financial TV guru Lee Gates, played by Mr. Clooney, who is popular for rolling up money making investment advices and later gets abducted by one of his viewers, who had lost all his money after following his tips. The drama thriller is set for release in 2016.
Roberts is apparently on a spree to reunite with old friends as she also made her 26th and final appearance at "Late Show," hosted by David Letterman. The star also shared one last kiss on the show with the 68-year-old host after watching a hilariously cute highlight reel of their previous kisses, People reported.
