Dwayne Johnson will be reprising his role as Luke Hobbs in the upcoming movie, "Fast and Furious 8." The WWE superstar was speaking at a press conference when he disclosed the fact that he will be back for the next installment of the franchise.
The actor has also actually hinted on a spin-off focusing on his character Hobbs, who had joined the franchise as a CIA Agent in the fifth installment movie to initially track down Dominic Torreto, played by Vin Diesel. It is already confirmed that Diesel and Kurt Russell will reprise their roles in the upcoming movie.
"We've created a little bit of space for him in Furious 7 and the gauge is set for what the audience will want," said Johnson on being quizzed about the possibility of his spin-off, Den Of Geek reported. The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on April 14, 2017.
The declaration by the 43-year-old star put to rest all the speculations of the actor's presence in the next Furious movie. The question of Johnson's possible exit from the franchise was raised since he had a very limited role in "Furious 7," Christian Today reported. The actor practically appeared only in a handful of scenes at the start and end of the movie, which triggered the rumor that he will no longer be the part of the eight installments of "Fast and Furious" movies.

Due to his recurring role in the franchise, the "Snitch" actor has undoubtedly become one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.
Johnson is set to appear in disaster movie "San Andreas," in which he plays a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot, who must save his daughter after an earthquake devastates the California coast. "San Andreas" is set to release on May 29.
