Apart from Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will feature Doomsday as the second prominent villain, according to a latest report. DC Comics supervillain will make his big screen debut alongside The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and more.
Rumours about Doomsday's appearance in Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" have been around for long. However, the news was recently confirmed by Umberto Gonzalez aka El Mayimbe on recent episode of the podcast "Shanlian on Batman."
In "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," Lex Luthor will reportedly put his intellect to take down his enemies and Doomsday will use his strength to tackle his foes. For those unfamiliar, the ancient Krypton monster happens to be one of the main Superman villains.
In the comic book, Doomsday a.k.a the Ultimate Killing Machine, killed Superman after a massive brawl in front of the Daily Planet building in Metropolis. Doomsday's possible appearance in DC Universe's 2016 movie has led to the rise of speculations about Superman's death. Fans are wondering whether Superman will bite the dust in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" or not.
Entertainment news publication Cinema Blend is speculating that there might be a battle scene involving Doomsday and Superman close to the climax of the movie. The reports suggest that it is not necessary that the deadly combat will have the same outcome as in the comic book-death of Superman.
It must also be noted that the actor Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Superman, has signed three-movie deal. And "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" happens to be the second project in the contract. Meanwhile, the superhero is also expected to feature in 2017's "Justice League Part One." Thus the website concludes that the there is little likelihood of Superman dying at the hands of Lex Luthor or Doomsday in the upcoming DC Universe movie.
