"Star Trek" actor George Takei recently took to Twitter to praise Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" video and to call out Marvel for its lack of a movie with more than one female superhero.
"Taylor Swift released her much anticipated video Bad Blood starring girl celebs as action stars. Come on Marvel, T. Swift is showing you up," Takei tweeted.
Takei was one of the guests at the recent Comicpalooza at George R. Brown Convention Center along with Marvel comic-book legend Stan Lee, Hayley Atwell of Marvel's "Agent Carter" and "Captain America" films, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Chloe Bennet, "The Avengers" stars Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders, "Harry Potter" star Jason Isaacs, and "Gotham" stars Donal Logue and Cameron Monaghan, among others.
Known for his "Star Trek" role as Hikaru Sulu, Takei told Chron, "It's good manners to go to these conventions and say 'thank you' for that undying support that they've given us."
Except for Kendrick Lamar, "Bad Blood" features an all-female cast, including Swift as Catastrophe, Selena Gomez as Arsyn, Karlie Kloss as Knockout, Kendrick Lamar as Welvin Da Great, Martha Hunt as HomeSlice, Jessica Alba as Domino, Serayah as Dilemma, Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori, Hailee Steinfeld as The Trinity, Ellie Goulding as Destructa X, GiGi Hadid as Slay-Z, Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse, Zendaya as Cut-Throat, Lily Aldridge as Frostbyte, Ellen Pompeo as Luna, Mariska Hargitay as Justice, Cara Delevingne as Mother Chucker and Cindy Crawford as Headmistress.
