Pioneer electronics giants Microsoft and Apple are going to release the latest versions of their respective tablets Surface Pro 4 and iPad Air 3. It is reported that iPad Air 3 will have the provision of Force Touch Utility and it will have a display screen of 12.9 inches.
The much-touted Force Touch Utility helps in operation of the device using secondary mode and is currently housed in 13 inch MacBook Pro. Rumors claim that iPad 3 will house the 401 ppi Retina Display and it will be powered by either iOS 8 or 9.
Though no major changes were made in the transition from Air 2 to Air 3, the new variant may see a reduction in thickness to 6.1mm, according to Disqus.
On the other hand, it is reported that Microsoft will power its Surface Pro 4 tablet on Windows 10. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 specs include fourth generation processors unlike the present i3, i5 and i7 processors.
Microsoft will launch the new tablet with 3840 x 2160 pixels in display. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 variants include a 14 inch model and a 8 inch model as well, according to The Latino Post.
In a major upheaval of RAM, both the tablet devices will have more RAM than their predecessors. While Surface Pro is reported to have 16 GB of RAM, the iPad 3 lags far behind with just 2 GB of RAM. Besides, rumors also suggest that iPad 3 will use the A9 or A9X processor.
As regards the Surface Pro 4 price, it is said to be higher than Pro 3 while Apple iPad 3 price may be similar to iPad 2. However, neither Apple nor Microsoft provided any confirmed news about the release date of their tablets.
