It is believed that the Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL will hit the market between the month of July and August as their date of release is believed to coincide with the official release of Windows 10.
The Microsoft Lumia 940 is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch display and run on a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and Adreno 420 graphics with 3 GB RAM. The Lumia 940 has 32GB internal memory that is expandable up to 128GB.
The new handset is scheduled to arrive at the market for $620 or a price nearer to that since this is present selling price of the Nokia Lumia 930.
According to TechTimes, it is rumored that Microsoft Lumia 940 will have 5 to 8 megapixels front-facing camera and a 25-megapixel Pureview rear camera.
Additionally, the mobile world is expecting a larger counterpart called Lumia 940 XL, which is said to have 5.7-inch display. The Lumia 940 XL will have 3950mAh battery, 5Mp front camera and 25Mp rear camera. It comes with 32GB internal storage and 128GB microSD slot. Both the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL will be running Windows 10 out of the box.
These two smartphones may be getting ready to compete with Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The dual-SIM support, 3D-like interactions, built-in upkeep for pen styluses and iris-scanning capabilities are some other rumored features of the two handsets.
According to an official tweet from the mobile carrier T-Mobile, the Lumia 640 can be bought from the carrier starting July 16 in the United States, International Business Times reported. In addition, it is important to note that the price of the smartphone for the T-Mobile network is $89. In the meantime, another telecommunications carrier Cricket is reportedly selling the Microsoft Lumia 640 for $129.99 under the prepaid scheme.

The Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL come with one year subscription to Office 365 and 1 TB of OneDrive storage that can be accesssed through Office using a PC, Mac or Tablet. Also, the two phones are entitled to 60 free minutes of Skype Unlimited worldwide per month.
