Grand Theft Auto 5 PC game received another modification which will include the Just Cause 2's Grapple gun to allow players to swing around Los Santos.
Following the fly like Superman mode, a fire breathing cat player mode, gravity gun from Half-Life 2, the new Just Cause 2 grappling mod for the GTA 5 PC version was created by modder JulioNIB, the developer of Flappy Bird and Iron Man themed mods for GTA 4. Mods are acceptable only in single player, as in case of multiplayer, the risk of getting banned is higher.
With the new mod, a special grapple gun will be added to the Rockstar's GTA 5 for players to fire a hook and scale skyscrappers recreating Just Cause 2's means of traveling, especially when paired with parachute. Players can zip around just like in Just Cause, attach to building or cars or even any standbyer, tether moving objects. However, the grapple hook is not as well polished as other mods, due to disappearance of hook without warning, according to Digital Spy.
The new mod is said to have come well in time, to tide fans over to GTA, until Just Cause 3, which is slated for release in 2015 holiday. JulioNIB is reportedly having plans to improve the mod and the later versions are expected to have even more elements from the universe of Just Cause, like hijacking a helicopter or stealing a car with the grapple hook – which are likely to appear in the Just Cause 2 sequel.
