NVIDIA Hairworks performance has also been improved by lowering the frame-rate hit, with a series of improvements in overall stability and performance. In comparison with graphics in Patch 1.03, the current low level sharpening setting in Patch 1.04 is the default in Patch 1.03, with visible improvement in texture detail, according to Dual Shockers.
Boat stuttering in cut scenes, issue related to spontaneous combustion of gas clouds, and a bug causing missing translations in localized versions, have also been resolved.
Prologue Area has a few additional gwent cards, pop-up window in the UI is enlarged, including small tweaks introduced for gwent, along with updated game icon. With Patch 1.04, 1280 x 720 is now a valid resolution option for the game. The bug causing problem with alt + tabbing or minimizing option and the issue where comparison window extends beyond game borders in UI has also been fixed.
The patch resolves the issue related to importing saves from The Witcher 2, where players with usernames including non-Latin characters were unable to do so. Players can now upgrade items in gear set without the destruction of rune sockets in the items.
