Apple's iPhone 6S and iOS 9 have been making the headlines especially after leaks seemingly confirm the inclusion of the Force Touch. However, despite the hype over the feature and its possible contributions to user experience, it has also been contested as a "stupid" inclusion.
Several reports already suggested that the Force Touch is a shoo-in or a locked feature in the upcoming Apple smartphone. Whereas the iOS 9 is expected to feature full support for the tech, Taiwanese sources previously suggested that the feature may be exclusive for the iPhone 6S Plus. Supply chain sources noted before that the iPhone 6s Plus has been designed specifically to cater to the Force Touch technology.
However, the Cupertino-based tech giant may have changed its mind as it may be incorporating the feature on the smaller iPhone 6S. This could be good news considering those who prefer a smaller screen but similar technology as the phablet.
The addition of the Force Touch is more logical because making it exclusive to just one would require the company to change the interface. At the very least, differentiate the interfaces to allow the iPhone 6 Plus to support the technology while let the smaller iPhone 6s do its own thing.
Cult of Mac also suggested that it will be "stupid" to make it accessible to just one device. Apple included exclusive features previously on its phablet such as the optical stabilization, it was just a minor inclusion as opposed to the major changes of the force touch.
Likewise, according to an exclusive list of leaks from 9to5Mac, people should also expect haptic feedback as part of the Force Touch package. Force Touch on the iPhone should come with the same functionality as those found in the Retina MacBook and Retina Macbook pros.
Other expected features include pressure-sensitive scrolling, calendar for events and more "power user-centric" interface. Apple has not provided the official or final details of its highly anticipated iPhone 6S series. All leaks and insights should be taken as a grain of salt.
