"Daredevil" season 2 will be released on Netflix in just a few months but until now, not much has been disclosed about the upcoming cast members and storyline of the show. However, just recently there have speculations that Elektra would finally be featured in the sophomore installment.
Last season, "Daredevil" ended with several cliffhangers and fans cannot wait to see what will happen to their favorite characters. For instance, Karen Page's future remains uncertain and fans want to know more of her backstory.
In the same way, fans who witnessed Charlie Cox's transformation believe that the character to become much darker in season 2. Additionally, "Daredevil" fans want to see new characters introduced in the highly-acclaimed series, according to Venture Capital Post.
Unfortunately, director Steven DeKnight remains mum about the future of "Daredevil 2." Still, there are several reports suggesting that in season 2, fans will finally see Elektra and Daredevil working together.
Just recently, there were reports that a videotape of various actresses auditioning for the role of Elektra was leaked online. Although there were no direct mentions of the character Elektra in the audition tape, several publications noted that the audition scene was reminiscent of one of the scenes in the comic books.
According to Comic Book, in the audition tape, actresses vying for the role of Elektra talked to a thug and asked him the abandon his criminal operation that resulted to the latter hurting hundreds of people.
Another audition scene took place between Elektra and Matt during one of their first meet-ups.
As of late, Marvel and Netflix have not yet confirmed whether or not Elektra will really be included in "Daredevil 2" and who could possibly play the character.
