The casting for the upcoming film, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is currently taking place. The film's director, James Gunn, is reportedly in talks with Al Pacino to join the team of the movie's second installment.
According to Master Herald, Gunn has not confirmed or denied the reports but fans are speculating that the director is convincing the award-winning actor to join the cast.
Meanwhile, there have also been reports that the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will be introducing two new female actresses who will be tasked to join the Guardians on their mission.
According to Venture Capital Post, one or two of the new female characters could be from outer space and this could either be Angela, Mantis, Phyla Vell or Moondragon.
Each of these female characters from "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" have their own distinct personalities and powers. Angela, for instance, is depicted as an angelic woman who also happens to be Thor's "secret sister."
Mantis, on the other hand, is an actual Guardian who is well-trained in martial arts and has the gift of talking to plants. Phyla Vell is another Guardian who is originally from Kree. She has been blessed with strength and energy powers.
Moondragon is the one who has the ability to practice mind control and more.
Additionally, the same publication noted that the villains for the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" could be Kovac and Adam Warlock. However, as of late, Marvel and Gunn have not confirmed anything yet.
"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is slated for release in the United States in May 2017.
