The mobile manufacturer HTC has announced that the HTC One M9+ and HTC One M9 will get an update to the latest operating system Android M and more devices will be announced pretty soon.
Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, said that the Android M update for both the smartphones will be updated to Android M. However, the exact time-frame was not revealed. Gordon also said that more HTC devices likely to get Android M update will be declared soon, Tech Times reported.
According to Android Authority, HTC One M8 and older HTC Desire mobile phones are likely to get the Android M update soon. aLSO, HTC recently confirmed that the Android 5.1 update would begin rolling out HTC One M8 with Sense 7 user interface in August.
The software giant Google disclosed the next version of Android operating system called Android M at Google I/O conference. New Android M features include new ways to manage Web links, new Chrome feature that will change the web experience for users of Android, Android Pay mobile payment system, battery saver features called Doze, new fingerprint APIs for developers to integrate into their apps, Now on Tap feature and revamped app permissions.
Support for USB Type-C ports, restore for apps, auto backup, new app drawer, adoptable storage devices and new RAM manager are some of the other additions.
HTC One owners have every reason to celebrate the occasion, as they may soon hear an official announcement of new software updates for their ageing phone.
