"Allegiant" star Theo James recently dished on his sex scenes with his "Insurgent" and "Divergent" co-star Shailene Woodley saying that at times their intimate moments feel very awkward.
In an interview with E! News, James recounted how it was like filming their bed scenes on "Insurgent." At one point, he explained that he and Woodley were doing a particular scene when the director suddenly asked them to freeze in the moment.
During that time, James admitted to feeling a little bit awkward because he was completely naked and sweating. Woodley, on the other hand, said that she does not feel uncomfortable filming such scenes because she has had more experience than James.
Also according to Woodley, who plays the role of Tris in "Allegiant," it is important to keep ones cool while filming intimate scenes because the more they feel awkward or unnatural, the more it will be difficult for them to be in the moment.
When asked how they prepare for their intimate scenes in the film, James teased that he would usually drink alcohol to make him feel more relaxed and at ease.
Meanwhile, there have been reports that the upcoming third sequel to the "Divergent" series, "Allegiant - Part 1," is banking on their lead stars to guarantee the film's success, Master Herald reported.
There were previous reports that the success of Veronica Roth's movie adaptation could be solely attributed to how Woodley and James gave justice to the characters of Tris and Four respectively.
"Allegiant - Part 1" is slated for release in March 2016. The second part of "Allegiant" will be released in 2017.
