Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, more commonly known as WWDC, will officially open its doors on Monday, June 8. On this grand stage, millions of passionate Apple fans await the unveiling of the company's update to its mobile platform, the iOS 9.
Considered as Apple's ninth generation mobile platform, the iOS 9 is expected to deliver major changes in order to tip the balance of mobile market dominance to its favor.
One of the most talked about feature that is expected to be announced during the WWDC presentation of iOS 9 is the integration of Force Touch technology to Apple's mobile platform, according to Forbes.
Apple is not new to the Force Touch haptic technology, in fact the company has already integrated this technology to the Apple Watch and most recently to the new models of the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Force Touch brings a newly developed pressure sensitive technology that can distinguish the user's level of touch pressure.
According to USA Today, Apple is also expected to unveil its ramped-up music service called Apple Music. Apple acquired Beats Electronics for a hefty sum of $3 billion in 2014 in order to upgrade its music service. Apple Music will also be one the four key app that will be presented on the iPhone home screen, along with Mail, Phone and Internet browser Safari.
Apple's official WWDC invitation also gave a hint as to what the company will unveil. At the center of the invitation is Apple TV streaming box, a sign which opened up rumors that Apple will be presenting an upgraded version of the digital media player.
Rumors claim that the new Apple TV will have an upgrade hardware, Siri integration and a new remote controls. People close to Apple also said that the company is cooking up deals with several developers in order to create apps for Apple TV.
