"Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt, known for "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Everwood," gets caught in the whirlwind of an escaped dinosaur in the final trailer for the movie. The new trailer offers a glimpse of where things went wrong, and how an escaped T-Rex started a rampage within the Jurassic Park.
As seen in the trailer, the park is fueled by dinosaur attractions, wherein the owner are required to bring in new dinosaurs for people to gawk at. And this mean creating bigger dinosaurs to spike up attendance and interest in the park.
Part of that creation is the Indominus Rex, which was designed to be bigger than the T-Rex. Sadly, things go downhill when it escapes and turns out to be an intelligent creation, capable of clawing her way out of the tracking device and killing for sport. Both humans and dinosaurs have become prey to the Indominus Rex, and soon the hunt begins.
The latest "Jurassic Park" movie, while taking a lot of suspense and reminiscent scenes from the original, appears to go for a more scientifically plausible story line this time around. In a BBC interview, Jack Homer, a paleontologist, stated that a hybrid dinosaur like the Indominus Rex is more plausible compared to bringing back a creature from long ago.
"We don't have dinosaur DNA but we can make transgenic animals," Homer explained.
While creating dinosaur, even genetically modifying one, is not yet possible this time around, it does bring a sense of realistic wonder for "Jurassic World." A shorter trailer features the birth of the Indominus Rex. It first appeared to be a tiny, harmless creature with big eyes, but succeeding events show just how dangerous it is.
The new dinosaur movie is seen as one of the possible saviors of this season's box office. What the box office needs right now is a big hit considering how recent movies are not delivering the expected numbers and audience, Variety reported.
When comparing with last summer's figures, it appears that even the likes of big names such as "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Mad Max: Fury Road" and Tomorrowland" will not exceed the figures from last year's movies. And this is already considering how last year was one of the slowest and lowest in terms of ticket sales.
"Jurassic World" is seen as one of the movies that could pull up this number. Predictions put the sales of the Steven Spielberg film to over $100 million. It is only just one of the upcoming movies aimed towards giving a boost in views and sales for this summer's box office.
Slated to hit theaters on June 12, "Jurassic World" also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio and BD Wong and is directed by Colin Trevorrow.
