Apple's "New iPhone," believed to be the iPhone 7, is approaching its announcement, according to tech fans who have been circulating rumors of big specs and details surrounding its release. They also speculate that another phone-iPhone 6S or iPhone 6C-could launch with it.
The iPhone 7 will likely carry a 2GB RAM instead of the usual 1GB, according to tech enthusiasts who have been expecting to see the upgrade from iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The good news is that iPhone 7 will feature other big specs and upgrades that the double RAM might be necessary.
For one, Apple might use its newly patented technology, "sidewall displays," which would allow the user to access and control the music player, slide-to-unlock, caller ID and other settings. Because of this, it might not sport the same thinness fans see from iPhone 6, although it might keep the rounder design, Mac World reported.
Another is that Apple might feature a built-in Touch ID sensor into the screen, making iPhone 7 bezel-less. Also, the screen might be 4.7 inches wide, featuring flexible displays. In addition, fans anticipate a big upgrade on iPhone 7's camera, featuring a two-lens system that could produce DLSR quality images.
In terms of changes in specs, iPhone 7 is reportedly swapping its Taiwan-made A8 processor for Samsung's A9 chips, which are expected to have more power and efficiency. The battery life, resolution and megapixel rating, however, are all expected to be the improved versions.
The iPhone 7 might be released in mid-September, as tradition goes. But, with another rumored iPhone for release, Daily Mail UK speculates that Apple could stagger the launches to maximize sales opportunities.
The iPhone 6S or iPhone 6C might be released to give a cheaper iPhone option for customers before launching the flagship iPhone 7. Apple, however, has not confirmed that two different launches will take place in 2015.
