"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kim Richards has pleaded not guilty to the three misdemeanor charges slapped on her on April 16 at Beverly Hills Hotel.
The TV personality pleaded not guilty to the charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a cop. The plea was made by her lawyer, Robert Shapiro, since she is currently in rehab, reportedly dealing with her drug and alcohol issues.
The Los Angeles superior court made an offer of three years in probation and 30 days in jail or 30 days community service along with restitution to the victim, TMZ reported. The plea deal also includes 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and a restraining order against visiting the Beverly Hills Hotel, where the alleged altercation took place.
The 50-year-old celeb checked into rehab soon after the incident, in which she was accused of resisting arrest and kicking a cop while at the police station. The judge has ordered the star to be present at the court for the next hearing, scheduled to be on July 16.
Reports emerged last week that the troubled star is also dealing with financial constraints as she has been axed from the reality show, "RHOBH," after a five-year stint. Daily Mail reported that Richards is not able to pay her bills and rent of her upscale apartment and will soon shift to a cheaper accommodation once she completes residential treatment for her alcohol addiction.
Richards had taken a break from the rehab earlier to attend her daughter Brooke Brinson's wedding ceremony held in Mexico on May 23. The TV star reportedly behaved inappropriately and even insulted the groom's family, apparently under the influence of either drugs or alcohol or both, after which she againg checked back in the rehab.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Kathy Hilton, mother of socialite Paris Hilton, is being approached by the channel, Bravo, to replace Richards, who is also her younger half-sister.
