Rumors also claim that the smartphone will have 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The square display will also have a 1440 x 1440 resolution. The upgrade came in the form of a steel framed combined with silver plastic.

N4BB reported that the BlackBerry Oslo will target the European, Middle East, African and the Asia-Pacific region. BlackBerry's plan about the smartphone is still unclear but there are speculation that it will focus mainly on China and will be released as the BlackBerry Passport for the Chinese market.

During the 2015 Mobile World Congress, BlackBerry hinted at a high-end slider phone. This could be the phone that the company is referring to.

According to Know Your Mobile, the back of the BlackBerry Oslo is made of rubberized material similar to the one used in the BlackBerry Leap and BlackBerry Z3. This contradicted rumors that the BlackBerry Oslo is designed to be a high-end phone but rather a mid-range device.

As for the BlackBerry Oslo's software specs, rumors are pointing to the final build of OS 10.3.3 specifically the Gold Candidate version 10.3.2.2150.

Several reports are pointing to a June 30 schedule for BlackBerry's official announcement of the Oslo smartphone.
