Huawei will start rolling out the Android Lollipop 5.1 update for all the existing Android devices under its hood soon. A video leaked of Huawei Ascend Mate7 shows that it is running with Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.
The video also shows a split screen or the multitasking mode, in which two applications can run at the same time, according to GSM Arena. It is similar to the present day LG and Samsung devices and it will definitely be a luxury for those who will use the multi-tasking mode for the first time in their smartphones.
The video also shows a handy option to carry forward the minimization of display and other features in a single operation. This option will definitely be very useful when the users are preoccupied with something other than the current application, which is already opened.
Android Lollipop 5.1 features include stability and a number of security fixes. There are numerous updates in the Quick Settings, which improve the performance of the phone.
It was earlier reported that Huawei Ascend Mate7 will be the first Huawei phone to get this update in May, but the earlier release date was not met. The reason behind the delay is not clear, according to HijackSoft.
