With the much awaited iPhone 6S release date, speculated to be in October drawing closer, the upcoming device is reported to use the company's custom Series 7000 aluminum for a casing found in the Apple Watch, resulting in a 60 percent stronger case than the current case in iPhone 6.
The next generation iPhone is expected to be slightly larger in comparison to its predecessor - 0.15mm taller than the iPhone 6 and 0.2mm thicker, which comes down to the addition of Force Touch, according to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, Macotakara reported.
Nevertheless, most users are unlikely to notice this difference in the new iPhone 6S. Also, Kuo noted that a new variant, iPhone 6S Rose Gold, which matches with the Rose Gold Apple Watch edition, will make its way to the existing color options.
The general Gold variant will reportedly have a bit of yellow shade added, to look more like the Yellow Gold Apple Watch edition, while the Space Grey variant may have a slight black tinge, to go well with the Space Black Apple Watch, Mac Rumors reported.
Rumor has it that the Cupertino might even release a premium iPhone made of 18-karat gold, similar to the luxury Apple Watch Edition made of the 18-karat gold.
The highly anticipated iPhone 6S is said to pack a latest A9 processor coupled with 2GB RAM, and feature an improved Touch ID recognition, enhanced front and rear camera, gesture control support, and more.
The upcoming device has been hot topic, with rumor mills churning out a number of devices suggesting the iPhone 6S release date to be in October as well as the iPhone 7 release date to be in March, next year. However, it's better to take these reports with a pinch of salt, as Apple has not yet officially confirmed even the existence of these devices.
