The software giant Apple is reportedly preparing the 2016 MacBook Air to compete against the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 this fall.
Details on the upcoming MacBook Air are little as of this time; however, reports suggest that it will be better than the predecessor model that the company revealed to the market in 2014. Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 will possibly already be available by the time the new 2016 MacBook Air is released.
Rumors are doing the rounds that, like the Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4 will have a digital screen for pen input. This gives the Surface Pro an advantage over the MacBook Air.
Speculations are that the Surface Pro 4 will be released before the new MacBook Air. Furthermore, reports suggest that the new Surface Pro will release with Windows 10 next month. It is possible that the iPad Pro is the device the American giant Apple is preparing to compete against the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Reports suggest that Apple's 12.9-inch iPad - referred to as the iPad Pro - may get a unique, bigger keyboard, with additional keys including a complete row dedicated to characters such as parentheses and asterisks.
According to Apple Insider, the iPad Pro could feature a 2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution Retina display. It is believed that the new iPad Pro will come with a digital pen. This is why many people believe that the iPad Pro is Apple's answer to the Microsoft Surface Pro.

Retina Display

USB-C Port
According to rumors, the 2016 MacBook Air will have the USB-C port, which resembles a micro USB connector but is somewhat thicker. It has the MagSafe and Lightning feature.
Core M-Based Skylake Processors
These processors will make the MacBook perform better and enhance its power. It is believed that the new set of processors will be launched later this year or by the starting of next year.
