WhatsApp voice calling is one of the most awaited features for Windows Phone users. It has already arrived by Android and iOS platforms and it is soon expected to arrive for Windows Phone users.
Currently, voice calling is available on the beta version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone users for the purpose of testing. It is not yet available on the latest version of WhatsApp available on Windows Phone Store.
Windows Phone users who desire to try the voice calling feature will have to download the most recent beta app with version 2.12.40, International Business Times reported. In order to try it, users will have to register as a beta tester for WhatsApp private beta for Windows Phone users.
One can join WhatsApp beta program by simply sending an email to support@whatsapp.com, Tech Mesto reported. In the email, one needs to introduce himself and mention that he would like to enroll as a beta tester. Tech Mesto suggested that adding "sent from my Windows Phone" at the bottom of the mail will help the automated system to categorizing the mail.
After sending the mail, users are required to wait for the reply. If a person is chosen to try the beta app, he will also have to share his Microsoft Account email address. Very soon WhatsApp will send a download link of the WhatsApp beta app with voice calling support.
WhatsApp is soon expected to bring many new features for Windows Phone users. Some of the expected features include VOIP calling, support for sending and receiving music files, ability to save WhatsApp conversation on OneDrive, Video calling, Facebook and Skype integration.
