A few weeks after her early exit in the French Open, Maria Sharapova said she's focused on getting ready for the Wimbledon, which jump started her career as a 17-year-old.

She's not dwelling on the loss to Lucie Safarova in the fourth round of the French Open even after winning the tournament twice in the last three years.

Sharapova also refuses to use her flu as an excuse for her loss French Open loss.

In fact, her early loss meant to her that she had almost four weeks to prepare for Wimbledon.

Sharapova also has a lot of great memories of her Wimbledon conquest in 2004, but she doesn't want to look back to that  very often and would rather "try to make it a new beginning."

That's the mindset of one of only two active players to hold the Career Grand Slam, who is also the most-followed tennis player on Facebook and highest-paid female athlete in the world.

Favored to win the Wimbledon is Serena Williams, who has won the title five times. 

Other contenders include  contenders include defending champion Petra Kvitova and third seed Simona Halep.

A win by Sharapova would make him a title holder 11 years apart. 

Sharapova has won five Grand Slam titles and the Wimbledon was the one she's most removed from, winning it in 2004.

She won the US Open in 2006, Australian Open in 2008 and the French Open in 2012 and 2014.

Sharapova is also a big winner off the court being an an ideal as a beautiful 6-foot-2 blonde.

Sharapova recently signed a three-year deal to promote Porsche as the car manufacturer plots to sell more of its cars to women.
According to Viktoria Wohlrapp, a senior marketing manager for Porsche, said that 85 percent of the company's customers are men and that Sharapova has the image that matches their brand.
