Former One Direction member, Zayn Malik, has apparently filmed a music video secretly with collaborators, Krept and Konan, while still being a member of the band. It seems that Malik not only left the all-boy band for the solo music career, but he has also started preparing for the same much before his exit.
The emerging UK rappers are coming up with their debut album that has a host of popular collaborators including Malik. During an interview with International Business Times, the "Freak of the Week" rappers has shockingly declared that they have been working with Malik since a long time and has shot the video for the single "No Type" back in 2014, when the singer was very much the part of the band.
The duo maintained that they used to hang out regularly with Naughty Boy and Malik. The video which they recorded was more of a fun thing and is likely to leak soon.
"We were just messing around one day and made the cover," said the rappers. "I have a feeling the video will just get leaked somehow."
It appears by a close study of Malik's timeline that he always had an inclination towards rapping. It was reported first time in February that the 22-year-old singer wants to go into rap.
Just before his exit from the band, a teaser of Malik's collaboration with Naughty Boy somehow made its way into the internet. Inquisitr claimed that it was the singer's clever way to sample out some music to rappers like 50 Cent so that they could hear his voice outside the band.
50 Cent also indicated at that time that he will love to sign Malik if he wants to become a rapper. The singer announced his departure from the band soon after and is reportedly meeting with the rapper in July to take things forward.
The rapper duo's declaration has come as a shock for One Directioners, some of whom are still mourning over the singer's abrupt exit from the band in March this year.
