Trainees from the People's Liberation Army won all the five gold medals at the 14th Military and Police Sniper World Cup in Budapest, Hungary, June 20-24.
Chinese marksman Wang Yongchuan led the victory for winning in military individual category with 952 points.
Wang received the “Best of Best” title, as he was the best individual shooter during the competition.
Li Wen joined Wang in winning another category, the military team event, with 1,858 points.
The two received a special prize for gathering the highest team score.
Chen Jun triumphed in the police individual event with 880 points.
Chen won with Li Zhiyu in the police team category, with a total of 1,739 points.
Aside from five gold medals, the team also earned one bronze and three silver medals.
“Please allow me to congratulate the Chinese team, they prepared very well, this makes us feel good, because they attached importance to this competition,” said Marton Vincze, director of Hungarian Police Training Center.
During the team’s training under the People’s Liberation Army, the trainees completed a series of high-intensity tasks.
The training includes hitting targets placed 100 meters away from a moving vehicle.
Trainees were also required to slice a bullet in half by shooting at the edge of a knife blade.
The team was able to use their skills during the training, as the actual competition’s targets include falling and moving objects, paper, and steel.
Around 130 participants from 16 countries and regions participated in the said competition. The rule only allowed one rifle per competitor.
Last year, the Chinese snipers also dominated the Olympics by winning three of five individual and team events.
