Fans of "Sweet Valley High" will be pleased to know that an upcoming reboot could be in the works in the next few months.
Just recently, real-life twins Brittany and Cynthia Daniel, who gave life to characters Elizabeth and Jessica, said that they will be willing to star in a reboot.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the twins also revealed that some of the producers and creators of "Sweet Valley High" are currently talking about the possibility of releasing a reboot.
During a separate interview with E! News, the Daniel twins also shared that they will be having a sit-down discussion with "Sweet Valley High" book author Francine Pascal where they will also be pitching some of their ideas.
According to the twins, they want the reboot to make it possible for the new generation to meet the old generation. "Sweet Valley High" aired from 1994 to 1998 and Brittany portrayed Jessica and Cynthia portrayed Elizabeth Wakefield.
Meanwhile, the twins also dished on what it was like finding out that they booked the roles from the famous book series of Pascal.
According to Brittany, finding out that they booked the roles on "Sweet Valley High" did not serve as the best day of their lives, but the highlight of their lives. Cynthia added that "Sweet Valley High" seems like a lifetime ago already, but it is still great how a lot of people remember the show and the books.
As of late, there is still no information on which network "Sweet Valley High" will air if ever it will push through.
